Already Fall?

“At no other time (than autumn) does the earth let itself be inhaled in one smell, the ripe earth; in a smell that is in no way inferior to the smell of the sea, bitter where it borders on taste, and more honeysweet where you feel it touching the first sounds. Containing depth within itself, darkness, something of the grave almost.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters on Cézanne

It is with embarrassment that I come back to my very own site and realize I've fallen into the bad-Blog-ness-sphere...leaving off in May and evaporating as a contributor until now. I would plead work, or vacations, or other excuses but really it's just been a gap of my creative synapses. As other mammals hibernate in the winter, I seem to have gone on a summer walk-about, rotating through a work-golf-sleep-repeat cycle during this lovely summer sabbatical .

But now it's truly Fall and the crisp air brings with it the smell of acorns, and damp leaves. And it brings a cold wet rain that will, very soon, be snow. So as I brush the falling foliage from my shoulders and start flexing my fingers for my winter keyboard exercises, I offer you these links to all-things Polar Bears. Enjoy!!!.
